How Every Gesture Creates Impact

When an organiser subscribes to 1Gesture, a portion of every gesture fee is ring-fenced and routed directly to verified Impact Partners. Here is how the money flows.

1

Organiser Sets Up Meetings

The organiser connects their calendar and chooses which cause categories to offer. 1Gesture detects upcoming meetings automatically.

2

Attendees Receive a Branded Reminder

Before each meeting, attendees receive a branded email with the option to claim a gesture -- choosing from causes like planting a tree or funding a meal.

3

Gesture Fee Is Collected and Ring-Fenced

When a gesture is claimed, the per-gesture fee (included in the organiser's plan) is collected. Impact funds are separated from operating revenue immediately.

4

Verified Partners Deliver the Impact

Ring-fenced funds are disbursed to verified NGO partners who deliver the specific impact -- planting the tree, providing the meal, delivering the water, or funding the education.

How We Guarantee Every Gesture Counts

We built 1Gesture with trust at the foundation. Every pound and dollar is tracked, ring-fenced, and verified by independent partners.

Revenue Ring-Fencing

Impact funds are separated from operating revenue at the point of collection. They sit in a dedicated account that can only be disbursed to verified Impact Partners.

  • Dedicated impact escrow account
  • Funds never touch operating expenses
  • Monthly reconciliation and reporting

Partner Verification

Every Impact Partner undergoes a multi-stage verification process before receiving any funds. We check registration, financials, and impact delivery track records.

  • Registered NGO status required
  • Financial audit and review
  • Ongoing performance monitoring

Impact Certificates

Every gesture generates a digital impact certificate with verification data. Organisers can share these with stakeholders, clients, and their team.

  • Unique certificate per gesture or batch
  • Includes partner details and proof of delivery
  • Downloadable and shareable

Track Your Impact in Real Time

Every organiser gets a live dashboard showing exactly how their meetings are creating change. Share it with your team, your board, or your clients.

Questions About Our Impact

We get it -- impact claims require scrutiny. Here are honest answers to the questions we hear most.

No. Greenwashing is making environmental claims without substance. 1Gesture does the opposite: every gesture is backed by a verified financial transfer to a registered NGO, and every impact outcome is tracked with proof of delivery. We publish our partner verification process, our fund flow, and our impact data openly. If a partner fails to deliver, we flag it and redirect funds. We have no interest in inflating numbers or making vague claims -- our model only works if the impact is real and verifiable.
Three layers of verification. First, every Impact Partner is a registered NGO that passes our due diligence before receiving any funds. Second, partners provide delivery reports with evidence (GPS data for trees, distribution records for meals, water quality reports, school attendance records). Third, each gesture generates a digital certificate linking the specific organiser's contribution to the specific impact delivered. You can trace the chain from payment to outcome.
Yes. Organisers choose which of the four cause categories to offer to their attendees: plant a tree, fund a meal, provide clean water, or support education. Attendees then pick from those options when they claim their gesture. This means every gesture reflects a genuine personal choice, not a forced allocation.
Impact funds are ring-fenced at the point of collection into a dedicated account separate from our operating revenue. Disbursements to Impact Partners happen on a monthly cycle. During the holding period, funds are not used for any operational purpose. We publish the timing and amounts of all disbursements in our quarterly transparency reports.
Partners must be registered NGOs with a proven track record in their cause area. Our selection process includes registration verification, financial audit review, impact measurement methodology assessment, and reference checks. Once onboarded, partners submit monthly delivery reports with evidence. We conduct annual re-verification and can pause disbursements if delivery standards are not met.
The exact allocation varies by plan and cause, but the impact portion of every gesture fee is ring-fenced and fully disbursed to partners. Your subscription fee covers platform operations (engineering, infrastructure, support). The per-gesture fee -- or its equivalent on the Max plan -- is where the impact funding comes from. We are transparent about this split and publish it in our annual impact report.
